About Sara

Sara Chemi is a lover of cats, plants, books, rocks, and of course theatre. She has been performing for as long as she can remember and never wants to stop. This spring Sara took a dive into Shakespeare for her first time in Midsummer Nights Dream with Theatre Kapow, taking on the roles of Hermia, Peter Quince, Peaseblossom, as well as a portion of Puck. In the fall of 2023 Sara journeyed to Hershey, Pennsylvania to be a part of Dark Nights at Hershey Park where she played the Grim Reaper in the haunted house titled "The Descent." Summer 2023 Sara had the opportunity to work at Jean's Playhouse performing with their touring TYA troupe IMPACT where she performed 6 shows over 7 weeks. Some of her favorite roles while at Jean's were Snow White in Snow White and Flounder in The Little Mermaid. While at Jean's, Sara also performed in Wizard of Oz as a part of Jean's Playhouse's Main Stage season where she played the Mayor of Munchkinland and was in the Ensemble. She graduated from Dean College in May of 2023 with a BA in Theatre with a Concentration in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite roles while at Dean include Lisa Simpson (Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play), Mira (Theory of Relativity), and Ensemble/ Smitty Understudy (How to Succeed…). Sara is a strong vocalist with oodles of energy and positivity who would be wonderful for a variety of different projects.
